Biography

Attorney Sharon H. Rosen is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (B.A., with honors) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D.) where she was elected to the Moot Court Board. Prior to law school, Sharon earned a Ph.D. in Health Psychology from Yeshiva University where her research concentration was in the area of Gerontology and conducted research in long-term care facilities. Sharon is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and a past member of the Fairfield County Bar Association and served as Co-Chair of the Elder Law Committee. She is also a member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) a professional organization focusing on the legal, financial and medical needs of the elderly. Sharon is also a member of Connecticut NAELA (CT-NAELA). Sharon has served on the Board of Jewish Family Service. She has also served as a Commission member for the Town of Westport Commission for Senior Services and the Westport Baron's South Committee. Sharon also served as a member of a Medical Ethics Committee of a local hospital. She currently serves as a Board Member of a non-profit inter-generational organization which includes congregate senior housing and early childhood education. She also has training as a Hospice volunteer. Sharon presents seminars on topics of interest, including Medicaid planning and planning for incapacity, including understanding the Probate Court system.
